Flag at Half-Mast for San Jose
Hearts hang as heavy as our flag at half-mast, as our country laments lives lost in San Jose, CA. Unfortunately, San Jose is part of a running announcement of the latest shootings. It is not the only shooting to happen this week or this month or this year. It is the most recent national news story shooting. In the last five days, dozens more suffered from the effects of gun violence. A quick search of news finds at least 41 people were subject to gun violence.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of all the people who fell victim to gun violence in the past five days; this barely scrapes the surface. “41 people” is not even close to the final number of those caught in gunfire since May 22, 2021.
